UltraCare Keranet is a liquid cleaner designed for both internal and external surfaces, including façades that have been grouted with cementitious grouts. It effectively removes concrete stains and residues from installation and grouting operations while preserving the integrity of the cement grout joint. The product can be diluted in water based on the level of dirt and residue, typically in a ratio of 1:10 or 1:5 (1 part UltraCare Keranet to 5-10 parts water). It can also be used undiluted to eliminate engobbio from porcelain and ceramic surfaces. Formulated with a special inorganic acid and a buffered formulation, UltraCare Keranet offers stain-fighting power comparable to much stronger acids without releasing dangerous toxic fumes, though it is advisable to use the product in well-ventilated areas. When used correctly, UltraCare Keranet does not damage the grout joint, even with coloured grouts, while effectively removing any efflorescence that may form on the surface.

Mapei UltraCare Keranet is suitable for use on acid-resistant materials such as porcelain, ceramic, glass mosaics, quarry tiles, terracotta and acid-resistant natural stone and easily removes installation, cementitious grout and adhesive residues from the installed material leaving a perfectly clean surface. It can also remove limescale, rust stains and efflorescence.
Before using UltraCare Keranet, ensure that the surfaces to be cleaned are acid-resistant. In uncertain cases, perform a preliminary test. Protect any surfaces that could be damaged by splashes. For very absorbent materials like Tuscan terracotta, porous ceramics, or natural stone, moisten the surfaces with water before applying UltraCare Keranet. Dilute the product based on the residue level (1:10 or 1:5) and surface type, applying it in manageable sections. Allow it to act for about 5 minutes, then scrub the surface with a single-disc cleaning machine or an emulsifying pad. Rinse thoroughly with water. For stubborn residues, repeat the process if necessary. Use only on fully cured grout (1 to 10 days, depending on grout type).
