Planitop Fast 330 is a rapid-set, fibre-reinforced cementitious levelling mortar suitable for both internal and external applications. This versatile product can be applied in layers ranging from 3 to 30 mm, effectively evening out irregularities on walls and floors. Composed of a grey, one-component formula with very low emissions of volatile organic compounds (EMICODE EC1), it combines special cementitious binders, selected aggregates, synthetic resins, and additives developed in MAPEI’s Research & Development labs. When mixed with water, it offers excellent workability and high bonding strength to various substrates. Planitop Fast 330 cures quickly, ensuring durability and stability, even when applied in thick layers, without the risk of shrinking or cracking, making it ideal for the installation of ceramic, glass mosaic, and stone finishes.
Key Points:
Rapid-Setting & Versatile: Planitop Fast 330 is designed for quick application in layers from 3 to 30 mm, suitable for both walls and floors.
Internal & External Use: This product is effective for levelling surfaces both indoors and outdoors.
Low Emission: It has very low emissions of volatile organic compounds, ensuring safer indoor air quality.
High Bonding Strength: The mortar provides excellent adhesion to common building substrates and hardens without shrinking or cracking.

This product is designed to smooth irregular internal and external substrates, making them suitable for the installation of ceramic and stone tiles or for waterproofing with liquid membranes or flexible cementitious systems. It can be applied at thicknesses ranging from 3 to 30 mm.
Application Examples:
Swimming Pools: Level reinforced concrete surfaces in swimming pools, making them ready for Mapelastic and Mapelastic Smart waterproofing systems after just 24 hours at +20°C, or for laying all types of ceramics and mosaics after 4 hours at the same temperature.
Internal and External Substrates: Smooth and level clean substrates, such as floor slabs and screeds made from cement or special binders (e.g., Topcem, Topcem Pronto, Mapecem, and Mapecem Pronto), as well as old ceramic and stone floors. This preparation allows for the installation of ceramic and stone materials not sensitive to dampness after only 4 hours at +20°C, or for applying waterproofing systems like Mapelastic, Mapelastic Smart, and Mapegum WPS after 24 hours at +20°C.
Terraces and Balconies: Repair or create slopes on terraces and balconies for improved drainage and aesthetics.
Preparation of the Substrate
The substrate must be well-cured, compact, and free from dust, loose debris, oil, grease, and any traces of paint or adhesive. Before application, surfaces exposed to direct sunlight or wind should be dampened. For highly absorbent substrates like bricks and lightweight concrete blocks, pre-wetting is crucial, especially when applying Planitop Fast 330 in thin layers. Gypsum substrates and anhydrite screeds should be dry, sufficiently hard for their intended use, and dust-free. These should also be treated with Primer G or Eco Prim T Plus. Concrete surfaces need to be well-cured, clean, and free of dust and cement laitance, and should be treated with Eco Prim Grip Plus if necessary. Smooth substrates or those with low absorbency, such as ceramics or terrazzo, must be cleaned, mechanically abraded, and treated with Eco Prim Grip Plus.
Preparation of the Mix
To prepare the mix, pour a 25 kg bag of Planitop Fast 330 into a container with 4.5-5 litres of clean water (18-20 parts water per 100 parts of Planitop Fast 330) while mixing. Use a low-speed mixer to achieve a smooth, lump-free consistency. The blend remains workable for about 20 minutes at +20°C.
Application of the Mix
On Walls: Apply a feather edge layer of Planitop Fast 330 to create a well-buttered surface, then immediately apply the product to the required thickness for levelling, up to a maximum of 3 cm. For thicker applications, press the mixture down onto the substrate with a smooth trowel and level it off with a metal straightedge, finishing with a sponge float.
On Floors: Use a long metal pallet knife or trowel to apply the mix.
Laying of Coatings and Waterproofing
Waterproofing layers of Mapelastic, Mapelastic Smart, and Mapegum WPS can be applied approximately 24 hours after application at +20°C. Ceramic tiles, stone (not sensitive to moisture), and various mosaics can be laid after about 4 hours at +20°C or 24 hours at +5°C.
Curing
To ensure proper curing, protect the surface from rapid water evaporation during hot or windy conditions. Avoid water contact with the mortar for the first 4 hours at +20°C and the first 24 hours at +5°C.
