Latexplan Trade is a two-part smoothing compound that comprises a grey powder (part A) containing special cements, graded silica sands, and additives mixed with a synthetic rubber latex (part B). It can be walked on after approximately 1½ to 2 hours and is ready for flooring installation in about 12 hours, depending on thickness and ambient temperature. With a very low odour, it is suitable for use in confined spaces where work or occupancy must continue. Latexplan Trade is also compatible with Mapeproof ESM surface membranes, making it suitable for areas with residual or static moisture. For optimal results, it is important to mix Latexplan Trade without adding extra latex or water.

Latexplan Trade is designed for levelling and smoothing substrate thickness differences ranging from 1 to 10 mm in a single application, making it ideal for preparing both new and existing surfaces for various types of flooring installations. This compound is suitable for areas with wheelchair traffic, ensuring accessibility. Typical applications include smoothing concrete floors, cement-based screeds, and Mapecem and Topcem screeds, as well as existing flooring made of concrete, terrazzo, ceramic tile, natural stone, steel, and polyurethane.
To mix Latexplan Trade, combine 25 kg of the part A powder with 5 litres of the part B liquid. Shake the container of part B before pouring it into a clean mixing vessel. Gradually add the part A powder while continuously stirring with a mixing paddle and a slow-speed drill. The mixed mortar has a working time of approximately 20 to 30 minutes at +23ºC, and no additional latex or water should be added once the mixture begins to set. For application, pour the mixed material onto the prepared substrate and spread it to the desired thickness using a smooth-edged trowel. A spiked roller can also be used to achieve a smooth, even finish, which will not require further treatment before installing the flooring. The mixture allows for applications from featheredge to 10 mm, although a minimum thickness of 3 mm is recommended, with the substrate temperature remaining above +5ºC. Under normal conditions, Latexplan Trade can support light foot traffic after 1½ to 2 hours and is ready for bonded floor coverings after 12 hours. Maintaining a room temperature of 13-18ºC and a substrate temperature of at least +5ºC, along with adequate air circulation, will enhance drying times.
