Mapeguard UM 35 is a membrane composed of a layer of honeycomb HDPE with a rough surface and a polypropylene fabric backing, designed to enhance the bond strength of adhesive applied on both sides.

Mapeguard UM 35 can be installed on both internal and external substrates as an uncoupling and anti-fracture membrane for laying ceramic and stone flooring over challenging or cracked substrates, as well as on substrates that have not fully cured. It eliminates the need to replicate control and expansion joints (as specified in UNI 11493-1 and UNI 11714-1) within the substrate. This waterproof membrane is ideal for balconies and terraces, creating an uncoupling and vapor compensation layer on damp or uncured surfaces, allowing moisture from the underlying layers to escape. Mapeguard UM 35 is suitable for installing ceramic and stone tiles, even over existing flooring. It is applicable in various settings, including:
