EVERBUILD BLACK JACK FLASHING TAPE FLASH is a durable, self-adhesive flashing tape made of aluminium foil and a bitumen rubber adhesive. It creates a strong, waterproof seal simply by pressing the tape into place by hand, eliminating the need for lead flashing. The self-adhesive design requires no additional glue, making it a quick and efficient solution for sealing applications.

Black Jack Flashing Tape Flash is ideal for a variety of applications, including general repairs to existing flashing, bituminous felt, and similar roofs, as well as flashing parapet walls and replacing lost lead flashing. It can also be used to repair cracks in concrete, fix lead gutters, seal capping bolts in roof sheets, and seal roof ridges. Additionally, it provides a protective coating to insulation materials, seals projections through roofs, and is effective for flashing between timber and brickwork or blockwork cavities, as well as skylights.
APPLICATION
Substrate Preparation: Ensure all surfaces are dry, sound, and free from oil, grease, and dust. Remove any loose material using a scraper or wire brush. For porous surfaces such as concrete or brick, prime with Black Jack Bitumen and Flashing Primer and allow it to dry.
Application Method/Tools: Cut the tape to the desired length and peel back about 5 cm of the release backing. Position the tape and continue removing the backing while pressing the tape firmly into place to avoid creasing. Ensure complete contact with the surface and prevent air pockets. Use a small roller to ensure the edges and overlaps are properly sealed, with overlaps of at least 25 mm.
LIMITATIONS
- Prime porous surfaces with Black Jack Bitumen and Flashing Primer.
- Do not apply to damp surfaces.
- In cold weather or storage conditions, adhesion may be reduced. To improve adhesion, either bring the product to room temperature or use a hot air blower to heat the bitumen adhesive layer.
