EVERBUILD PLUMBERS GOLD is a high-performance sealant and adhesive designed for plumbing and sanitary applications, utilizing advanced STP polymer technology for excellent adhesion to a wide range of materials, including plastics, ceramics, glass, and metals. It is waterproof, weatherproof, and even works on wet surfaces or underwater. With MouldShield® technology, it offers proven protection against black mould for up to 5 years, making it ideal for interior and exterior use. This product is certified to EN15651 standards and is highly flexible, accommodating up to 20% movement.

EVERBUILD PLUMBERS GOLD is ideal for sealing and bonding across a wide range of plumbing applications, including sealing soil and vent pipes, waste pipes, and WC pans. It is also used for setting waste traps and grates in sinks, showers, and baths, as well as conventional sealing around baths, showers, sinks, and tiled areas. Additionally, it works as an adhesive for bonding shower frames, mirrors, and ceramic ware to walls, including tiled surfaces. Other uses include sealing threads, bedding extractor fans, fixing small leaks, sealing tap bases, and bonding shower trays to floors and walls. It also serves as a reliable mirror adhesive.
APPLICATION
Sealant Application:
First, cut the tip of the Plumbers Gold cartridge carefully to avoid damaging the thread. Attach the nozzle, cut the opening to the desired width, and apply using a standard sealant gun. For joint sealing, the recommended ratio is twice the width of the depth. If needed, reduce joint depth with EVERBUILD® Expanding Foam or Joint Backer Rod. Ensure the joint design allows adhesion to only two surfaces to maintain flexibility. Use masking tape to prevent contamination and ensure a neat line; remove immediately after tooling. Tool the sealant within 15 minutes for a smooth finish.
Adhesive Application:
Ensure surfaces are clean and free from dust, grease, or loose materials. Priming is usually not required, but dusty surfaces should be primed with diluted EVERBUILD® PVA Bond (1:4 with water) and allowed to dry. For heavy items (e.g., plasterboard, worktops), apply adhesive around the edge (30-50mm from the edge) and in beads at 300mm intervals. For lightweight items, apply adhesive in continuous beads. Mark large gaps for thicker bead application. Clean up excess adhesive immediately with a cloth or white spirit.
Fixing Mirrors:
Apply 6mm diameter beads of sealant in vertical strips on the back of the mirror, spaced 30-40mm apart. Place the mirror in position with even pressure and a slight twisting motion. Use temporary support (e.g., tape) until the adhesive has cured, which may take 24-48 hours. You can also use the sealant to seal around the mirror 24 hours after fixing.
Cleaning:
Uncured material can be wiped off with a damp cloth and white spirit. Cured material can be removed with mechanical tools.
LIMITATIONS
- Not for use with drinking or potable water, or in structural glazing systems or aquarium manufacture.
- Always use mechanical fixings for overhead applications, glass block fitting, or large mirrors (>0.5m²).
- Do not use on surfaces that bleed oils or plasticizers, or in conjunction with bitumen, asphalt, or undiluted bleach.
- Discoloration may occur in areas with high UV exposure, though this does not affect performance.
- Yellowing may occur in the dark. Always perform adhesion tests before large-scale use.
