EVERBUILD Wet Rot Wood Hardener is a solvent-based resin solution designed to penetrate deeply into decaying wood fibers, hardening the wood and making it resistant to further moisture penetration. Once treated, the wood forms a strong base for repair with EVERBUILD 2 PART HIGH PERFORMANCE WOOD FILLER. It dries in six hours, is suitable for both interior and exterior use, and offers a cost-effective alternative to replacing joinery affected by wet rot.

Wet Rot Wood Hardener is used for repairing wood affected by wet rot when combined with EVERBUILD® 2 PART HIGH PERFORMANCE WOOD FILLER, suitable for both interior and exterior applications. Also ideal for strengthening and reinforcing softwood and hardwood.
Substrate Preparation:
Remove all decayed or crumbling wood to expose a solid base. Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, or other contaminants.
Application
Shake the can and pour the solution into a suitable container. Using a brush, saturate the affected area with the hardener. For deeper penetration, drill small holes into the wood before application. Once dry, remove any excess hardener with a wire brush. Follow up by filling the area with EVERBUILD® 2 PART HIGH PERFORMANCE WOOD FILLER. Sand, stain, or paint as needed after filling.
Cleaning
Clean tools immediately after use with cellulose thinners.
Limitations
- Avoid contact with glass, metal, plastics, or painted surfaces.
- This product is not for surface treatment; ensure residual hardener is removed before filling.
- Suitability for specific applications is the user’s responsibility. Consult technical services if in doubt.
