EVERBUILD FEB 708 Febflor Universal is a cement-based compound designed to level uneven floors and screeds before laying ceramic tiles, thermoplastic tiles, lino, wood block flooring, or carpet. It can be mixed with either water or Everbuild® 709 Febflor Latex Plus to create a free-flowing, self-levelling topping. Once mixed as directed, it sets in 2 hours and can be overlaid after 8 hours at normal temperatures. This product is not suitable for use as a final wearing surface but offers enhanced flow properties and a long open time for easy trowelling.

APPLICATION
Substrate Quality / Pre-Treatment:
- Sand/Cement Screed: Allow at least four weeks of drying before application. Dampen the floor and prime with EVERBUILD® PVA Bond diluted 1:3 with water. For areas with heavy foot traffic, use EVERBUILD® FLOOR FLEX PLUS instead of water when mixing.
- Timber Floors/Existing Tiling/Asphalt: Degrease and roughen existing tiling or asphalt. For timber floors (1m² max), ensure they are securely screwed down at 300mm centers. Prime with EVERBUILD® SBR Bond diluted 1:1 with water. Mix EVERBUILD® FEB® 708 Febflor Universal with neat EVERBUILD® FLOOR FLEX PLUS (20kg of powder to 5L liquid) and apply while the bonding coat is still tacky.
- Existing Vinyl Tiles: Ensure tiles are clean and sound. Prime with EVERBUILD® SBR diluted 1:1 with water and apply the floor leveller mixed with FLOOR FLEX PLUS while the primer is still tacky. Allow 24 hours before applying the final covering.
Application:
- Prepare floors by dampening with water and priming with EVERBUILD® PVA Bond diluted 1:3 with water. For 20kg of powder, mix with 4L of water. Always add powder to water and mix until smooth and free-flowing. Pour the mixture onto the floor, allowing it to self-level, and trowel lightly to a maximum thickness of 6mm. For deeper areas (6-15mm), add 1 part clean, dry sharp sand to 1 part EVERBUILD® FEB® 708 Febflor Universal after mixing with water. Reduce the water before adding sand and adjust for consistency. For surfaces with heavy loading or traffic, mix with EVERBUILD® 709 Febflor Latex Plus instead of water. Allow at least 8 hours drying time between coats for depth and prime between layers.
Limitations:
- Always mix with clean, fresh water and prime surfaces as instructed.
- Do not exceed the recommended water quantity, as it can weaken the mixture and cause cracking.
- Never mix more compound than can be applied within 20 minutes.
- Not for use in underfloor heating systems, or if rising damp is present. In such cases, use Blackjack D.P.M. liquid damp proof membrane.
- Allow each coat to dry for at least 8 hours before overcoating.
- For areas with movement, always use EVERBUILD® 709 Febflor Latex Plus instead of water.
- Do not use below 4°C or for substrates with less than 4 weeks of curing.
- For deep depressions or a thickness of 50mm in one coat, use SikaLevel Deep Fill.
