Cromar Protect 1F is a non-vapour-permeable (non-breather) membrane designed for use beneath slated and tiled pitched roofs, with specific suitability for roofs where bats are known to roost. This high-performance underlay complies with BS5250:2021 standards, requiring appropriate ventilation, and should be installed following BS5534:2018 guidelines. It acts as an effective secondary barrier, preventing dust, rain, and snow from entering the roof void and offering temporary protection for up to three months before the primary barrier (slates or tiles) is installed. Lightweight and easy to handle, the membrane comes in a convenient roll size of 45m x 1m, simplifying transportation and installation.

APPLICATION
- Install Protect 1f underslating membrane following the guidelines outlined in BS5534:2018.
- Installation is feasible under typical roofing conditions.
- Begin laying the product horizontally across the rafters, starting from the eaves.
- Lay Protect 1f up the roof slope, ensuring a maximum drape between rafters of 15mm.
- If not counter battened, avoid pulling Protect 1F taut.
- Adhere to the minimum laps specified in BS5534:2018.
