Bond It B2-rated polyurethane foam filler is a quick-curing solution known for its excellent temperature and sound insulation properties, as well as its strong adhesive capabilities. The foam adheres to a variety of building materials including wood, concrete, stone, plaster, metal, PVC, and polystyrene, making it ideal for sealing, filling, and insulating applications. It is available in both aerosol and gun-grade versions and is particularly useful in the installation of window and door frames, filling holes, sealing thermal and acoustic insulation boards, and reducing thermal bridges.
Key Points:
- B2 fire rating according to DIN 4102-1.
- Low curing pressure for controlled application.
- High thermal and acoustic insulation properties.
- Good volume expansion for efficient filling and sealing.
Shelf Life: Minimum 12 months from the date of manufacture when stored in original, unopened containers and in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
Storage Conditions: Store and transport upright in a cool, dry environment, between +5°C and +25°C. Prolonged exposure to temperatures above +50°C may shorten shelf life. Keep away from heat sources, direct sunlight, and protect from frost.

Bond It B2 FOAM is a one-component, moisture-curing polyurethane assembly foam made from a polyurethane prepolymer. It adheres to a wide range of common building materials, including wood, concrete, stone, plaster, metal, PVC, and polystyrene. However, it does not bond to surfaces like polyethylene, Teflon, silicone, oil, grease, or similar materials. The foam maintains its shape after curing, minimizing the risk of joint deformation or separation from surfaces. This product is ideal for various applications, including the installation of window and door frames, filling holes, insulating penetrations, sealing thermal and acoustic insulation boards, sealing joints, and reducing thermal bridge impact. Please note that its use in specific fire-rated situations may violate Building Regulations. For enhanced fire resistance, it is recommended to overcoat the cured foam with Bond It FIRESHIELD INTUMESCENT SEALANT or use Bond It B1 FIRE RATED PU FOAM.
Preparation: Surfaces must be firm, clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, or contaminants that may affect adhesion. They should also be well-moistened with water. If necessary, apply a penetrating primer. All construction components must be properly prepared before applying the foam, and it’s recommended to have Bond It FOAM CLEANER nearby. If cans are chilled, warm them in lukewarm water (below +45°C), but avoid exceeding +50°C to prevent the risk of bursting. Cans that are too hot, such as those left in a vehicle, must be cooled using cold water. Before use, shake the can thoroughly for 15-20 seconds.
Application: From August 24, 2023, adequate training is required for industrial or professional use. Always follow the instructions on the can and wear gloves and eye protection. For the Straw Adapter: Hold the can upright, attach the straw applicator, shake the can vigorously for at least 30 seconds, turn the can upside down, and press the applicator trigger to adjust foam output. For the Gun Adapter: Attach the gun to the can, making sure not to overtighten the adaptor or activate the valve during the process. Hold the can upside down to apply the foam, adjusting the output with the gun trigger. The foam expands 2 to 2½ times, so avoid overfilling joints. Fresh foam spills should be cleaned up immediately within the tack-free time using Bond It FOAM CLEANER. Cured foam must be removed mechanically.
Limitations: Not suitable for use around fire doors or as a fire seal. Cured foam is sensitive to UV and sunlight, so it should be covered with a sealant, paint, or another material. For handheld use, ensure lighter construction elements are firmly fixed before applying foam due to the high post-expansion. The foam does not bond to polythene, Teflon®, silicone, or wax-like surfaces. Excess foam can be cleaned while wet with Bond It GUN FOAM CLEANER or MULTI-WIPES. Cured foam can only be removed mechanically.
