Bond It Quick Drying Decorators Caulk is a versatile, interior-use caulk that remains permanently flexible and allows for smoothing and over-painting within 1-2 hours of application. It adheres well to most building materials, including wood, plaster, brick, concrete, and plasterboard, making it ideal for sealing and filling cracks in skirting boards, plastics, and polystyrene coving. However, it is not suitable for external use or wet areas.

CAULK-MATE offers excellent adhesion to a variety of building materials and is perfect for repairing small cracks and joints with no movement in plaster and wood. It is ideal for use on wood, light fittings, stair risers, plaster, brick, concrete, and plasterboard.
Preparation: Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry, sound, and free from dust, oil, or other contaminants that may affect adhesion. Use a solvent like acetone for degreasing if needed.
Priming: CAULK-MATE generally does not require a primer for most common surfaces, though it may be necessary for concrete or other substrates. Testing a sample is recommended for optimal adhesion.
Application: Apply using a standard sealant gun. Cut the tip carefully without damaging the screw thread, then cut the nozzle at a 45° angle for an opening slightly larger than the gap. Tool down within 10 minutes using a damp spatula, sponge, or applicator tool. Do not tool once a skin forms. Can be overpainted with emulsion after 1 hour, or oil-based paints after 24-48 hours once fully dry.
Limitations: Not a silicone sealant. Do not use externally in rainy weather, below +5°C, for joints immersed in water, with bituminous products, in areas with high abrasion, or in joints that experience movement.
