A high-performance, self-adhesive protection material designed to cover and safeguard carpets and textiles during painting, decorating, plastering, tiling, and general maintenance projects. It protects against mess, dirt, spillages, and staining while being safer than loose dust sheets, thanks to its adhesive backing. Easy to apply—simply roll it out and press it onto the surface—it is fully waterproof, tear-resistant, and can be left in place for up to four weeks. Quick to remove, the low-tack adhesive ensures hassle-free cleanup without leaving residue.

Application
Before full application, perform a compatibility test on an inconspicuous area. Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from dust, moisture, and grease. Place the roll on the floor with the open end facing away from the application direction. Unpeel approximately 300mm (12”) of the protective cover and press it firmly onto the surface by hand. Push the roll forward in a straight line, smoothing it out as it unwinds to remove air bubbles or creases. Ensure the film is securely in place before starting work.
Removal
Removal is easy due to the low-tack adhesive. Lift each edge in turn and pull back towards the middle to contain any contaminants, ensuring spills remain covered before lifting the entire sheet. Take extra care when removing from textiles with loosely held fibres or fringes.
Limitations
- Not suitable for long pile or wool carpets.
- Possible residue: In rare cases, COVER-IT may leave sticky residues on some surfaces. Always test a small area before application. Any residue can be removed by hand or with Bond It MULTI-WIPES (test wipes on fabric dyes in an inconspicuous area first).
- Replacement frequency: Replace COVER-IT after 4 weeks. In high-traffic areas or under excessive light/heat exposure, replace at least once a week.
- Surface considerations: Do not use on damp or wet textiles. Avoid using on newly cleaned carpets, uncured concrete floors, or carpets installed with adhesive within the past 72 hours, as trapped moisture vapors can cause discoloration.
- Environmental conditions: Do not use underfloor heating while COVER-IT is applied or 24 hours before application.
- Not suitable for hard surfaces, rugs, or loose carpet tiles.
- Single-use only – disposable.
- Caution: Slippery when wet.
