This protein-free, flexible, high-performance cementitious floor levelling compound is ideal for internal use and can be applied in thicknesses ranging from 3mm to 50mm (or 10 to 60mm when bulked with 3mm granite chippings). It offers high early strength, is pumpable, and features a low-odor, water-mix formulation that is CE Approved. The compound is perfect for levelling common internal subfloors before installing floor coverings such as ceramic tiles, carpet, vinyl, and wood flooring, with a minimum levelling thickness of 3mm. It is also compatible with underfloor heating systems and eliminates the need for separate latex liquids by including powdered latex. Suitable for use on concrete, cement-based substrates, calcium sulphate screeds, old ceramic tiles, terrazzo, and mastic asphalt screeds, it is a versatile solution for various surfaces.

AD-FLOOR PLUS is a perfect underlay for levelling most common internal subfloors before installing floor coverings such as ceramic tiles, carpet, vinyl, and wood flooring, with a minimum levelling thickness of 5mm. It is suitable for use with underfloor heating systems and includes powdered latex, eliminating the need for additional, costly latex liquids.
Substrates
AD-FLOOR PLUS can be used over the following substrates:
- Concrete and cement-based surfaces
- Calcium sulphate (gypsum) screeds (sanded and vacuumed)
- Properly prepared old ceramic tiles, natural stone, and terrazzo
- Properly prepared old water-resistant adhesive residues
- New mastic asphalt screeds (sanded), flooring grade (IC10, IC15) with a layer thickness of 3-5mm
Preparation
Subfloors should be clean, dry, structurally sound, and free from grease, oil, paint, polish, or other contaminants that may hinder adhesion. Any adhesive or paint residues must be mechanically removed, and friable areas should be repaired with a suitable repair compound. It is essential that ambient conditions do not exceed 55% relative humidity for at least 28 days after application. Higher humidity levels can lead to product failure. All subfloors on or below ground level must have an effective damp-proof membrane, and for flexible floor coverings or timber, the moisture content should be 75% RH or below. For moisture levels above 75% RH, a surface damp-proof membrane should be applied. Gypsum and anhydrite screeds should be free from moisture. Old ceramic tiles should be cleaned and abraded, while old water-soluble adhesives should be removed completely and primed with a waterproof primer. Non-absorbent surfaces must be cleaned and primed with an appropriate primer, such as Bond It EXTERIOR PREGRIT.
Mixing
Use 3.6L of clean water for every 20Kg bag of AD-FLOOR PLUS. Slowly add the powder to the water while stirring with a heavy-duty slow-speed drill or paddle for approximately 3 minutes until a homogeneous, lump-free mix forms. For layer thicknesses of 10-60mm, extend with approximately 65% clean silica sand (0.1 – 3.0 mm) or 3mm granite chippings. Do not overwater, as foam or settling of the aggregate indicates over-watering.
Application
Pour the AD-FLOOR PLUS onto the prepared surface and trowel it to a smooth finish. Use a pin leveller for even surfaces or a spiked roller for thicker layers. Avoid mixing more material than can be applied within 20 minutes. For layers thicker than 3mm, avoid contact with vertical surfaces by using edging strips. Edge, interior, and movement joints should not be covered by AD-FLOOR PLUS. Do not attempt to reconstitute the mix by adding more water once it has started to set.
Drying Time
LevelMaster AD-FLOOR PLUS will accept light foot traffic after approximately 4 hours. For layers of 3-10mm, it can be covered with flexible floor coverings after about 24 hours. For layers up to 50mm thick, ceramic tiles can be applied after 4 hours. For non-porous surfaces, the following drying times are recommended before applying ceramic tiles:
- Up to 10mm – 1 day
- 10-20mm – 3 days
- 20-30mm – 7 days
- 30-40mm – 10 days
- 40-50mm – 14 days
