Bond It Mega Foam is a high-performance product that can be applied either with an aerosol adaptor or as a gun grade using a gun applicator, making it versatile for various tasks such as fitting doors, windows, insulating pipes, and filling gaps. It provides effective thermal and acoustic insulation while also improving draught and heat resistance and reducing noise. This expanding foam adheres to most common building materials, including wood, concrete, stone, plaster, metal, PVC, and polystyrene, making it ideal for applications like window and door frame installations, sealing joints, and filling holes. Key features include a universal applicator valve that works at any angle, high yield, low curing pressure to avoid deformation, non-shrinking properties, and a B3 fire rating according to DIN 4102-1.
Key Points:
- Can be used with a gun applicator or as an aerosol.
- Provides high thermal and acoustic insulation and fills gaps effectively.
- Adheres to most common building materials, including wood, concrete, and PVC.
- Universal applicator valve for use at any angle with high yield and non-shrinking properties.
Shelf Life: Minimum 18 months from the date of manufacture when stored in original, unopened containers and according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Storage Conditions: Store and transport upright in a cool, dry place between +5°C and +25°C. Avoid exposure to temperatures above +50°C as this may reduce the shelf life. Keep away from heat sources, direct sunlight, and protect from frost.

Bond It MEGA FOAM is a one-component polyurethane assembly foam, formulated with a moisture-curing polyurethane prepolymer. It remains stable after curing, minimizing the risk of joint deformation and separation from surfaces.
Areas of Application:
- Installing window and door frames, and entrance door linings (where clean, controlled backfill is needed).
- Filling holes and insulating penetrations.
- Sealing thermal and acoustic insulation boards.
- Sealing and connecting joints.
- Reducing the impact of thermal bridges.
Properties
Bond It MEGA FOAM can be applied at temperatures between +5°C and +30°C. Once cured, the foam is semi-rigid, predominantly close-celled, and resistant to temperatures from -50°C to +90°C. It offers excellent noise and heat insulation but is not resistant to UV-rays.
Preparation:
Surfaces to be bonded must be firm, clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, or any contaminants that may hinder adhesion. They should be moistened with water. All components must be properly prepared before foam application, and it’s advisable to have Bond It FOAM CLEANER on hand. If the can is chilled, warm it in lukewarm water (below +45°C) but avoid exceeding +50°C, as this could cause the can to burst. If the can has overheated (e.g., left in a vehicle), cool it with cold water. Protect adjacent surfaces with paper, plastic film, or other suitable materials. Shake the can occasionally to achieve the required temperature. Before attaching the adaptor, shake the can thoroughly (15-20 times).
Application:
From 24 August 2023, adequate training is required before industrial or professional use. Always follow the can’s instructions and use gloves and eye protection to avoid skin contact.
- With Straw Adapter: Hold the foam can upright, firmly attach the straw applicator, and turn the can upside down. Press the applicator trigger to adjust the foam output.
- With Gun Adapter: Hold the foam can upright and carefully screw the gun onto the can. Ensure the gun is not pointed at others. Turn the can upside down and press the gun trigger to adjust foam output. Be cautious not to overtighten the adaptor and avoid activating the valve during attachment. Fresh foam expands 1½ to 2 times, so take care not to overfill joints. Any excess foam should be removed within the tack-free time using Bond It FOAM CLEANER. Cured foam must be removed mechanically.
Description:
A fast-setting, multi-purpose PU foam that bonds, fills, seals, and insulates most construction materials. It can be used as both gun grade or aerosol application. The foam is classified as DIN4102:1 B3 and requires moisture for even and rapid curing. Inadequate moisture or overfilling may cause unwanted post-expansion. The foam output can be controlled by adjusting the pressure on the adaptor or gun trigger.
Limitations:
This foam should not be used around fire doors for fire sealing. It is sensitive to UV light and direct sunlight, so it should be covered with suitable sealants, fillers, paint, or other materials. It does not bond to polythene, Teflon®, siliconized, or wax-like surfaces.
Cleaning:
Excess foam can be removed while still wet using Bond It GUN FOAM CLEANER or MULTI-WIPES. Cured foam can only be removed mechanically.
