Cromapol is a fibre-reinforced liquid acrylic resin dispersed in solvent, designed to prevent water ingress. Its high fibre content allows the coating to bridge small gaps and provide instant waterproofing with just one coat. Cromapol is available in Mid Grey, White, and Black, and also in a fibre-free formula in Opaque, White, and Mid Grey. This versatile product offers excellent adhesion, instant protection, and outstanding solar reflectivity (in White and Grey).

Cromapol is ideal for use on a wide range of surfaces, including flat and pitched roofs, roof lights, flashings, fibre cement sheeting, gutters, slate, asphalt, lead, metal, and primed roofing felt.

 

 

Application Instructions

Before applying Cromapol, ensure the surface is clean, dust-free, and free of debris. Remove all moss, lichen, and plant growth using AlphaChem Fungicidal Wash, paying special attention to corners and gutters. The area to be repaired should be free from standing water. Repair any cracks, splits, small holes, or flashings, and for gaps or expansion joints larger than 3mm, reinforce with Glass-Fibre scrim and Cromapol prior to full coating. While Cromapol can be applied to damp surfaces, for best results, application to a dry surface is recommended.

Cromapol can be applied easily using a brush, roller, or squeegee. Application temperature should be between 5°C and 25°C. Drying time varies up to one week, depending on temperature and coating thickness. The coating may remain soft during this period, but this does not affect its waterproofing performance.
