Sika FastFix All Weather is suitable for use on various surfaces, including flagstones, cobbles, Indian sandstone, stone setts, paving blocks, and slabs. It is ideal for footpaths, patios, pavements, and driveways with light vehicular traffic.

APPLICATION

  1. Ensure the paving is installed correctly, and all joints are free from standing water, dirt, debris, and weeds. Joints must allow full compaction, with a minimum depth of 20 mm and width of 5 mm.
  2. Thoroughly wet the entire area, including joints and slabs. Allow standing water to drain before application.
  3. Open the packaging and cut the foil pack. Use the product within one hour of opening. Unused material can be stored in the bucket, immersed in water, for up to one month.
  4. Apply in small, manageable amounts, ensuring the material is loose and free of lumps. Avoid adding extra sand.
  5. Using a soft broom or hand brush, work the product into the joints, ensuring they are completely filled. Flooding may extend the setting time.
  6. Compact the material thoroughly using a pointing trowel, ensuring a smooth finish at the desired level. Compaction is essential for performance.
  7. The product will begin to set in 6-12 hours at temperatures above 15°C in dry conditions, with full set in up to 5 days for temperatures between 4°C and 15°C. Moisture can soften the product before full curing.

Cleaning of Tools:
Clean tools immediately after use with warm, soapy water.

Limitations:

  1. Ensure effective drainage from the patio base. Compaction is essential for durability.
  2. Not suitable for tapered joints unless the slabs taper inward to hold the compound in place, or for use with porcelain pavers.
  3. Avoid high-pressure washers for 14 days after curing, maintaining a minimum distance of 15 cm with a fan nozzle.
  4. Variations in paving colour and texture may occur but diminish over time. Test on a small, inconspicuous area before full application to avoid staining on light-coloured paving.
  5. Sika FastFix All Weather is not designed for permanent immersion but withstands wet-dry cycles typical of outdoor conditions.
