Arbokol 1000 is recommended for use in expansion joints in brickwork and blockwork, perimeter sealing of timber frames (especially where sealant overpainting is required), and structural joints in heavy cladding. However, it is not suitable for vertical joints wider than 25mm, horizontal joints wider than 20mm, or for internal applications. Due to its relatively slow curing process, Arbokol 1000 should not be used in public areas, schools, or spaces prone to vandalism unless the joints can be securely protected during curing. While the product can be painted, users should conduct a pre-test trial due to the variety of paint and coating systems available. For additional guidance, contact ARBO® Technical Services.

Joint Preparation
Ensure that all surfaces to be bonded are clean, dry, and free from contamination, and degrease them using the appropriate ARBO® Cleaner. Arbokol 1000 adheres well to many common construction materials. For joint backing, use an appropriate joint filler, such as closed-cell polyethylene foam, to achieve the correct joint depth. All joint preparation, priming, and sealant application should follow BS 8000-16: 1997 + A1: 2010, the British Standard for joint sealing in buildings.
Application
Arbokol 1000 is provided in 380ml polyethylene cartridges and should be applied using an ARBO Caulking Gun.
