BUTE-AL BAND is a draught and water-proof sealing tape made from an adhesive butyl compound, covered with tear-proof polyester aluminum laminate. The self-wound reel allows for easy application without the need to remove paper, and surfaces must be clean, dry, and free of dust. For porous surfaces, it’s recommended to use ARBO® Primer 2650, and ARBO Cleaner N°15 should be used for cleaning greasy or contaminated surfaces. It should not be applied to ice or frosty surfaces below 5°C. Compatible with most surfaces, trials are recommended for plastics, rubbers, and unusual surfaces. Apply directly from the roll using an ARBO roller to ensure good contact and avoid air bubbles, with an application pressure between 5 g/cm² and 15 g/cm². The tape is weather and UV resistant, highly impermeable to moisture vapor and gases, and the aluminum foil can be painted after a site trial.

Storage Life: 12 months from the production date when stored in its original, unopened packaging, protected from humidity. Store in a well-ventilated area at a maximum temperature of 30°C.

The butyl adhesive in ARBO BUTE-AL BAND adheres to a wide variety of substrates and is tear-resistant. It is ideal for sealing behind pressure plates on glass assemblies, glass roofs, canopies, curtain walls, doors, window frames, conservatories, and ducting. Additionally, ARBO BUTE-AL BAND is weather and UV resistant, offering high impermeability to moisture vapor and other gases.
Applications
Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free of dust before application. For friable, porous surfaces, it is recommended to use ARBO® Primer 2650, and for contaminated or greasy surfaces, clean with ARBO Cleaner N°15. Do not apply to ice or frosty surfaces below 5°C. While BUTE-AL BAND is compatible with most surfaces, it is advisable to conduct trials on plastics, rubbers, and other unusual materials. Apply directly from the roll to the surface using an ARBO roller to avoid air bubbles and ensure good contact with the substrate. The recommended application pressure is between 5 g/cm² and 15 g/cm². Allow 5 cm for all lap joints. The aluminum foil may be painted after conducting a site trial.
