Ardex P 10 SR is ideal for the swift repair and bonding of static, non-structural cracks and joints in concrete and sand/cement screeds. It can also serve as a fast-setting adhesive for carpet grippers, profiles, and trims made from metal, plastic, wood, and other materials. Suitable for application on fully commissioned underfloor heated screeds, ARDEX P 10 SR is designed for both residential and commercial use, though it is intended for interior applications only.

Surface Preparation

Ensure all substrates are hard, sound, and free from dust or any materials that could impede adhesion. To repair cracks, cut them open to a depth of 2/3 of the substrate’s thickness, and be sure to check for any electrical, heating, or plumbing services before cutting. If stitching is necessary, create slots at right angles to the crack, spaced approximately 20cm apart, to accommodate the metal stitching pins. Thoroughly vacuum the cracks and slots to remove all dust and debris. Insert the stitching pins into the prepared slots if required.

Mixing

While wearing the provided protective gloves, pour Component B into the plastic bottle containing Component A. Shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until a uniform yellow mixture is achieved. For partial quantities, mix the components in a 1:1 ratio by volume.

Application

After mixing, cut the end of the bottle’s pouring spout to open it. Within the 10-minute working time of the product, pour ARDEX P 10 SR into the cracks and stitching slots, ensuring they are completely filled. Immediately remove any excess material using a scraping blade and apply ARDEX Fine Aggregate to the surface to create a suitable key for future applications of leveling compounds or tile adhesives. Ensure the ARDEX Fine Aggregate is applied while the ARDEX P 10 SR is still wet, covering the surface completely. Excess aggregate should be brushed or vacuumed off after the ARDEX P 10 SR has set (typically in 20 minutes at 20°C), leaving a sandpaper-like texture for a mechanical key. The product can support loads in as little as 20 minutes and is ready for leveling compounds or tile adhesives within 40 minutes. For fixing profiles and grippers, allow the material to thicken to a paste-like consistency by letting it sit in the bottle for a few minutes. Apply and fix immediately once the desired consistency is reached. Fresh spills can be cleaned with a suitable tool cleaner, while hardened material must be removed mechanically. If uncertain, conducting a trial application is recommended. Note: ARDEX P 10 SR should only be applied at temperatures above 15°C. Hardening times may vary with temperature, being longer in cooler conditions and shorter in warmer conditions.
