Alkyd Floor Paint is a high solids, low viscosity, heavy-duty alkyd floor paint that’s designed for use on concrete, wood, brick, and stone floors, providing a hard-wearing, easy-to-clean finish. Suitable for areas subject to light to medium traffic such as garages, warehouses, workshops, and pedestrian walkways, it offers excellent durability, abrasion resistance, and protection against dilute acids, alkalis, oils, and brake fluid. It dries to a satin finish and requires no priming under most conditions, though priming with a diluted mixture of paint and white spirit is recommended if necessary. The paint is touch dry in 2-3 hours, with 16-24 hours needed between coats, and is best applied by brush or roller. Tools should be cleaned with white spirit, and cured paint can be removed with xylene. For internal use only.

Alkyd Floor Paint is designed to provide a hard-wearing, easy-to-clean finish for concrete, stone, brick, and wooden floors subjected to light to medium traffic, including forklift trucks and scissor lifts. It is ideal for use on internal surfaces such as garage floors, warehouses, workshops, factories, storerooms, and pedestrian walkways. The paint offers enhanced durability, abrasion resistance, and strong protection against dilute acids, alkalis, and oils, including brake fluid, engine cleaners, screen wash, antifreeze, power steering fluid, diesel, and sump oil.
Preparation: Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry, and free from contaminants such as dust, oil, and loose or flaking material. Use a scraper and stiff brush to expose a smooth, debris-free surface. Remove moss, mold, or lichens using Bond It MOULD-STOP or PATIO BLASTER. Chemically or mechanically hardened floors may require abrasion before application. If uncertain, perform a small test area prior to full application.
Application: This product is ready to use and does not require dilution. Priming is typically not necessary, but if required, mix 1 part Bond It WHITE SPIRIT with 4 parts paint, allow to dry, and then proceed. Apply FLOOR PAINT evenly with a brush or roller, generally requiring two coats. Touch dry in 2-3 hours, with 16-24 hours of drying time between coats.
Cleaning of Tools: Clean brushes and tools with white spirit. Cured paint can be removed using xylene or a paint stripper.
Limitations: New concrete must be at least 6 months old before painting. Do not use on concrete floors with moisture levels above 18%, floors lacking a waterproof membrane, or those with a dust suppressing additive. Suitable only for light to medium traffic; for heavy traffic areas, use an epoxy-based paint. Do not traffic until fully cured. Not suitable for bitumen or asphalt. If unsure, contact the technical department for advice.
