B3 Fill & Fix Foam is a quick, economical, and easy to apply foam, improving draught and heat insulation while filling irregular gaps, fixing frameworks, and deadening sound. Once cured, it can be cut, sawn, plastered, and sealed. It adheres to most common building materials, including wood, concrete, stone, plaster, metal, PVC, and polystyrene. Ideal for fitting doors, windows, insulating pipes, and filling gaps, it can reduce the need for mechanical fixings. Available in 500ml and 750ml aerosol cans or a 750ml gun-grade canister compatible with standard gun foam applicators (BDAG1 or BDAK45). It conforms to DIN4102 Class B3, meaning it has no fire-resistant additives.
Key Points:
- Versatile Use – Fills gaps, fixes frameworks, insulates, and reduces sound transmission.
- Easy Application – Available in aerosol cans or gun-grade canisters for precise application.
- Strong Adhesion – Bonds to wood, concrete, stone, plaster, metal, PVC, and polystyrene.
- Multiple Applications – Suitable for window and door frames, pipe insulation, hole filling, and sealing joints.
Shelf Life & Storage Conditions: Minimum 12-month shelf life from the date of manufacture when stored in original, unopened containers as per manufacturer’s instructions. Store and transport upright in cool, dry conditions between +5°C and +30°C, as higher temperatures may shorten shelf life. Do not store above +50°C. Keep away from heat sources, direct sunlight, and protect from frost.

Bond It ALL PURPOSE B3 FILL & FIX PU FOAM is a one-component, moisture-curing polyurethane assembly foam that maintains its shape after curing, minimizing joint deformation and surface separation. It is ideal for installing window and door frames, filling holes, insulating penetrations, sealing thermal and acoustic insulation boards, connecting joints, and reducing thermal bridges.
Properties: This foam can be applied at temperatures between +5°C and +35°C. Once cured, it forms a semi-rigid, predominantly close-celled structure that resists ageing and temperatures from -50°C to +90°C. It offers excellent noise and heat insulation but is not resistant to UV rays.
Preparation:
Ensure surfaces are firm, clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, or contaminants that may affect adhesion. Moisten surfaces with water before applying the foam. All construction components should be properly prepared, and it is recommended to have Bond It FOAM CLEANER available. If the can is chilled, warm it in lukewarm water (below +45°C) but never above +50°C to prevent bursting. If overheated, cool it with cold water. Protect adjacent surfaces with paper or plastic film. Shake the can thoroughly at least 15-20 times before attaching the adaptor.
Application:
From 24 August 2023, industrial and professional use requires adequate training. Follow the can’s instructions, wear gloves and eye protection, and avoid skin contact.
- Handheld Use: Hold the can upright, screw the applicator (straw) onto the valve, turn the can upside down, and press the applicator trigger to release foam. Adjust the output as needed.
- Gun Grade Use: Hold the can upright, attach it to the gun by turning the can (not the gun), ensuring the valve remains upright. Do not overtighten or activate the valve. Once secured, turn the can upside down and begin application, adjusting foam output with the gun trigger.
The foam expands 1.5 to 2 times, so avoid overfilling joints. Remove fresh foam spills immediately with Bond It FOAM CLEANER. Once cured, foam can only be removed mechanically.
Cleaning:
Excess foam can be removed while still wet using Bond It GUN FOAM CLEANER or MULTI-WIPES. Once cured, foam can only be removed mechanically.
Limitations:
This foam is not suitable for use around fire doors to seal against flames and smoke. Cured foam is sensitive to UV light and direct sunlight, so it should be covered with an opaque sealant, filler, paint, or other protective material. Lighter construction elements must be securely fixed before foam application due to its high post-expansion. It does not bond to polythene, Teflon, siliconized, or wax-like surfaces.
