Bond It Cove-Mate Coving Adhesive is a high-strength, solvent-free adhesive designed for a variety of home improvement applications. It is ideal for fixing covings, decorative mouldings, skirting boards, architraves, dado rails, and more. This quick-grab adhesive dries to a white finish, allowing it to be over-painted once dry, and it can replace mechanical fixings in many applications. Suitable for use on plaster, brick, stone, and worktops, it provides a strong bond for polystyrene, PU covings, cork tiles, and cork sheet.

Shelf Life: Minimum 24 months from the date of manufacture when stored in original, unopened cartridges.
Storage Conditions: Store in a cool, dry place at temperatures between +5°C and +25°C. Keep away from frost and direct sunlight.
Coverage: Approximately 10 linear meters per cartridge with a 6mm bead, depending on the substrate condition and porosity.

COVE-MATE is a versatile interior coving and decorating adhesive that eliminates the need for mechanical fixings in various home improvement applications. It dries to a white finish and can be painted with water-based paint once dry. Ideal for fixing polystyrene and PU covings, skirting boards, architraves, dado rails, and more, it is suitable for use on plaster, brick, and stone surfaces. Additionally, it can bond worktops to base units, as well as cork tiles and cork sheets. Note that at least one of the surfaces being bonded must be porous.
Preparation: Ensure all surfaces to be bonded are clean, dry, and free from grease, dust, or other contaminants that may affect adhesion.
Application: Cut the tip off the cartridge and the nozzle at a 45° angle to the desired bead width, then attach it to the cartridge and place it in a standard sealant gun. For lightweight items like coving, dado rails, and skirting, apply the adhesive in one or two continuous 6mm beads to the back of the item and press it immediately into place. For heavier items like plasterboards, worktops, and wall panels, apply adhesive around the edges, approximately 30-50mm from the edge, with beads at 300mm intervals, or apply directly to battens before pressing the item into place. Temporary support may be needed for heavy items until the adhesive dries. Clean excess material with a damp cloth. Full bond strength will be achieved within 24-48 hours after application.
Limitations: Not suitable for polythene, polypropylene, Teflon, or nylon. Curing time may be affected on low porosity surfaces or in cold, damp, or humid conditions. Apply only between +5°C and +30°C. Not recommended for plaster coving.
