Bond It FG8 is a specially formulated silicone sealant designed for use in the food machinery and food preparation industries. It contains a powerful antifungal compound that prevents microbial growth on seals. FDA approved for food contact, FG8 is ideal for creating waterproof seals and joints in machinery, sealing between ceramic tiles and kitchen fittings, and around deep freezers, refrigeration units, and food processing equipment. This sealant is suitable for interior use, has a lifespan of 25 years, and offers a movement value of 25%.

Bond It FG8 is ideal for creating waterproof seals and joints in machinery, sealing between ceramic tiles and kitchen fittings, as well as between walls and floors. It is also effective for sealing around deep freezers. Suitable for use on a variety of surfaces including glass, ceramics, stainless steel, paint, GRP, melamine laminates, food processing machinery, refrigeration units, and chiller cabinets.
Preparation
Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry, and free from grease, oil, or any contaminants that may affect adhesion. For optimum adhesion, prime porous surfaces and metals other than stainless steel or anodised aluminium.
Application
Apply using a standard sealant gun, with the nozzle cut at a 45° angle and an opening slightly larger than the joint to be sealed. Allow two or three minutes after application, then tool to a tight finish using the Bond It SEALANT APPLICATOR TOOL or a similar tool. For resealing, use Bond It SILICONE SEALANT REMOVER to clean old joints thoroughly.
Limitations
Not suitable for un-primed ferrous metals, copper, and its alloys, cements, or concrete. Not suitable for use with aquaria.
