Bond It LN7 is a 100% neutral cure, pure silicone sealant that cures quickly when exposed to air and releases no solvents or corrosive vapours during setting. Compatible with all metals, plastics, and does not degrade insulating glass seals, it is CE Approved and suitable for various applications, including construction, engineering, and electrical uses. It works as a high extensibility sealant for both internal and external applications, such as expansion joints, and can also bond most materials as a rubber adhesive or serve as a potting compound to protect electronic components from moisture, tampering, and shock. This versatile sealant is also effective as a gasketing material and bedding compound for glazing double-glazed units into timber frames, suitable for use on glass, ceramics, metals, sealed timber, concrete, mortar, plaster, most plastics, uPVC, polycarbonate, and painted surfaces.

Bond It LN7 is a versatile, high-extensibility sealant suitable for construction, engineering, and electrical applications. It can be used for both internal and external purposes, including sealing expansion joints and framing perimeters. LN7 works effectively as a rubber adhesive for bonding most materials, a potting compound to protect electronic components from moisture, tampering, and shock, and as a gasketing and bedding compound for glazing double-glazed units into timber frames. Resistant to fungal attack, it has a life expectancy of over 30 years based on accelerated aging tests. Ideal for use on glass, ceramics, metals, concrete, sealed timber, brick, most plastics, polycarbonate, and all painted surfaces.
Preparation:
Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry, and free from grease, oil, or other contaminants that may affect adhesion. Priming may be required on porous surfaces.
Application:
Apply using a standard sealant gun with the nozzle cut at a 45° angle, ensuring the opening is slightly larger than the joint. For the best tooling, wait a minute or two after application before smoothing with Bond It SEALANT APPLICATOR TOOL. Using a polyethylene foam backing rod in construction joints helps create a technically superior joint and reduces sealant consumption. For gaskets and potting applications, ensure some exposure to air, as full encapsulation will prevent curing. Once applied and tooled, rain will not affect the sealant.
Limitations:
Porous surfaces should be primed before application. Do not use on surfaces where water can penetrate through to the bond interface without first performing remedial work. Polished decorative stones, like granite, may absorb silicone oil and change surface gloss. Some mirrors with safety backing are unsuitable for silicone adhesion; always conduct an adhesion test before use.
