Bond It MGF Ultra Yield PU Foam is a highly efficient, one-component polyurethane assembly foam, specifically designed for professional use. Its formulation, based on a moisture-curing polyurethane prepolymer, offers exceptional performance across various construction tasks. This foam adheres seamlessly to most building materials, including wood, concrete, metal, PVC, and polystyrene, making it ideal for numerous applications. One of its standout features is its non-shrinking property, which ensures stability and reduces the risk of deformation in joints or surfaces. Additionally, it provides excellent thermal and acoustic insulation, contributing to energy efficiency and soundproofing in buildings. Its low curing pressure minimizes the risk of damage to delicate structures, while the product’s eco-friendly credentials, such as the EMICODE® EC 1 Plus and M1 ratings, ensure low emissions and minimal odor. Designed for use in a wide range of temperatures, Bond It MGF Ultra Yield PU Foam offers versatility and reliability in both cold and hot environments.

Key Points:

  1. High Yield and Efficiency: The foam offers a high yield, enabling more work to be completed with fewer canisters, which reduces waste and material costs.
  2. Temperature Versatility: Suitable for use at temperatures ranging from -5°C to +40°C, making it adaptable for different climates and seasons.
  3. Eco-Friendly and Low Emission: Certified with EMICODE® EC 1 Plus and M1 ratings, ensuring very low emissions and minimal odors, which is beneficial for both workers and the environment.
  4. Excellent Insulation Properties: Provides high thermal and acoustic insulation, helping to reduce energy loss and noise transfer in buildings.

Shelf Life: The product has a shelf life of 12 months from the date of manufacture, provided it is stored in its original, unopened container and according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

Storage Conditions: Store and transport the product upright in a cool, dry environment with temperatures ranging between +5°C and +30°C. Exposure to significantly higher temperatures can shorten the shelf life, and storage at temperatures above +50°C should be avoided. Keep the product away from heat sources and direct sunlight to maintain its quality and effectiveness.

Bond It MGF ULTRA YIELD PU FOAM is a single-component polyurethane assembly foam formulated from a moisture-curing polyurethane prepolymer. Once applied, the fresh foam bonds effectively to a wide range of common building materials, such as wood, concrete, brick, stone, plaster, metal, PVC, and polystyrene. After curing, the foam maintains its form without shrinking, minimizing the risk of joint deformation or separation from surfaces.

Areas of Application:

  • Installation of window and door frames, as well as entrance door linings, where a clean and controlled backfill is necessary.
  • Filling holes and gaps.
  • Insulating penetrations.
  • Sealing thermal and acoustic insulation boards.
  • Sealing and connecting joints.
  • Reducing the impact of thermal bridges.

Preparation:
Before applying the foam, ensure that all surfaces to be bonded are firm, clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, or any contaminants that may affect adhesion. The surfaces should be well-moistened with water for optimal results. Make sure that all construction components are properly prepared. It’s recommended to have a FOAM CLEANER ready for use. Protect adjacent areas with paper, plastic film, or other suitable materials to prevent accidental foam contact. During preparation, shake the can occasionally to speed up temperature adjustment. Before starting work and attaching the adaptor, thoroughly shake the can at least 20 times to ensure proper mixing.

Application:

Always follow the instructions on the can carefully. Wear gloves and eye protection, and avoid direct skin contact with the foam. To attach the foam can to the gun, hold the gun handle with one hand and screw the can onto the gun with the other, making sure the gun is pointed away from people. Do not attach the can by turning the gun onto it, and ensure the valve is not upside down during attachment. Avoid overtightening the adaptor and be careful not to activate the valve prematurely. To apply the foam, turn the can upside down. Foam output can be adjusted using the gun’s trigger and adjustment screw. When applying foam in layers, lightly moisten between each layer. Be mindful that fresh foam expands 1½ to 2 times, so avoid overfilling joints. Any fresh foam spills should be cleaned immediately within the tack-free time using Bond It FOAM CLEANER, while cured foam must be removed mechanically.

Important Notes:
Moisture is crucial for the foam to cure evenly and rapidly. Insufficient moistening or overfilling of joints may cause unwanted post-expansion of the foam. Foam extrusion can be controlled by adjusting the pressure on the gun trigger, and the valve lever should be activated carefully. Once a can is opened, it should be used within four weeks for best results.

Limitations:
Cured foam is vulnerable to UV light and direct sunlight, so it must be protected with a suitable opaque sealant, filler, paint, or other covering material. Like all polyurethane foams, it does not adhere to polythene, Teflon®, silicone-treated, or waxy surfaces.
