This multi-purpose, solvent-based construction adhesive is designed to replace mechanical fixings in a wide range of domestic, commercial, and industrial applications. With gap-filling properties, it can bridge gaps up to 12mm and provides instant grab, making it suitable for both interior and exterior use. It is ideal for rough and porous surfaces, offers good low-temperature resistance for cold applications, and is Toluene-free. Perfect for fixing skirting boards, door surrounds, window sills, cladding, and automotive trims, this adhesive can be applied in all weather conditions and is overpaintable once dry.

Shelf Life: This product has a minimum shelf life of 12 months from the date of manufacture when stored in original, unopened cartridges.
Storage Conditions: Store in a cool, dry place at temperatures between +5°C and +25°C. Keep containers in a well-ventilated area and in compliance with flammable liquid storage regulations. Protect from direct sunlight and frost.
Coverage: Depending on the substrate condition and porosity, each cartridge covers approximately 10 linear metres with a 6mm bead.

GRIPBOND is a versatile adhesive designed for bonding a wide range of materials, including aluminium, steel, wood, chipboard, plasterboard, ceramic tiles, PVCu cladding, building panels, brick, some plastics* (test suitability before use), marble, stone, brick veneer, and concrete. It is perfect for fixing skirting boards, door surrounds, window sills, various types of cladding, wall battens, decorative wall boards, metal carpet edges, automotive trims, and more. GRIPBOND is also ideal for bonding stair nosings, gripper rods, laminates, and temporarily securing polythene dustproofing. With excellent low-temperature resistance, it is suitable for use in freezers and cold environments.
(*Solvent attack may occur with some plastics, so suitability should be tested before use.)
Preparation
Ensure all surfaces to be bonded are clean, dry, and free from grease or contaminants that may affect adhesion.
Application
Apply using a standard sealant gun, with the nozzle cut at a 45° angle and slightly larger than the joint to be sealed. Puncture the membrane at the base of the nozzle with a long wood nail. Apply a 6mm bead (or thicker, depending on the gap) in a zig-zag pattern along one length of the item to be fixed. Press the surfaces firmly together and apply even pressure across the entire surface. Allow to cure for 48 hours. For heavy items, temporary support or fixings are recommended during curing. Bracing or additional mechanical fastening should be used for ceiling or heavy wall panels while the adhesive gains full strength. For bonding foam to ceilings, additional mechanical fastenings are required.
Cleaning
Excess material can be removed with Bond It WHITE SPIRIT or cellulose thinners before the product cures. Clean tools immediately after use.
Limitations
This adhesive is not suitable for areas subject to frequent water immersion, and should not be used on asphalt, bitumen, or polystyrene. It is not intended as a mirror adhesive. Dusty or porous surfaces should be primed before applying the adhesive.
