Bond It BEAST is a one-part moisture-curing polyurethane adhesive, specially formulated to bond a wide range of materials, creating a strong and waterproof bond. With excellent bonding properties, it is suitable for use on common household and building materials such as wood, chipboard, laminate, metal, glass, concrete, stone, plaster, ceramic, leather, and most plastics. Ideal applications include bonding garden furniture, staircases, boats, sandwich panels, insulation materials, stair nosings, and carpet grippers. The adhesive offers good flexibility and is resistant to both water and frost. Once cured, it can be painted or stained, providing versatile and durable results.
Preparation
Ensure that all surfaces to be bonded are clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, or any contaminants that could hinder adhesion.
Application
As of 24 August 2023, adequate training is required before industrial or professional use. Wear protective gloves during application. Cut the tip of the applicator nozzle to the desired width and apply the adhesive sparingly to one of the surfaces (or both if they are porous). For better contact, spread the adhesive with a disposable brush. Immediately assemble the parts and clamp them for at least 1 hour to achieve maximum bond strength. To speed up curing, apply water to one surface using a damp cloth or light spray. The adhesive will expand slightly as it cures, filling any irregularities in the substrate. For maximum strength, clamping or gripping is recommended. For lighter objects, rubber bands can be used to hold the joint together.
Limitations
Do not use on polythene, polypropylene, bitumen, or asphalt. Always test on a small, inconspicuous area before full application if you are unsure.
