Dowsil 796 is a one-part, PVC-U, Aluminium & Wood Silicone Sealant. It is a low modulus, neutral cure silicone, specifically developed for the sealing of PVC-U, glass, glazed surfaces and brickwork.

Dowsil 796 is ideal for the sealing of PVC-U, glass, glazed surfaces and brickwork.
How to use
Clean all joints of release agents, water repellents, dust, dirt, old sealants and other contaminants which could impair adhesion.
Nonporous surfaces should be cleaned by wiping with a suitable solvent such as DOWSIL R40 Universal Cleaner on oil and lint-free cloth.
Preparation Dowsil 796
Masking areas adjacent to the joints should be masked with tape to prevent contamination of the substrates and to ensure a neat sealant line. Masking tape should be removed immediately after tooling.
Primer is not required for PVC-U or most common construction substrates including brick. A test placement before general use is always recommended.
To ensure a satisfactory seal, the joint should be tooled down within 5 minutes of application before the curing process takes effect.
This product should be used in conjunction with a standard-sized silicone or caulking gun.
