Substrate Quality / Pre-Treatment
Ensure all surfaces are clean, free from dust, loose materials, and any other contaminants. Verify that the structure has adequate mechanical strength. Walls should be wire-brushed to remove old paint, surface laitance, oil, grease, or other residues, ensuring a proper bond when screed, render, or mortar is applied.
Application Method / Tools
- Add EVERBUILD® 208 Powder Mortar Tone to the dry cement, sand, and aggregate before introducing water.
- Mix thoroughly until the color is evenly dispersed, then add the required liquids.
- Use at a rate of up to 8% by weight of cement—do not exceed this amount.
- The sand and cement’s natural color will influence the final shade. For pastel tones, incorporate white cement into the mix.
Limitations
- Usage Limit: Do not exceed 8% by weight of cement, as this may weaken the mix.
- Consistency: Use the same batches of cement and sand for uniform coloration, particularly in large areas like external renders.
- Compatibility: Avoid using lime in the mix.
- Admixtures: Exercise caution with additional plasticizing admixtures, as these may reduce the mix’s strength.
