EVERBUILD 506 Contractors PVA is a versatile multi-purpose product designed for use as a primer, sealer, cement filler, and plaster admixture. It adheres effectively to most common building and DIY materials (excluding PVC and rubber) and is ideal for priming unsound surfaces, acting as an adhesive for porous materials, sealing dust on flaking paint or walls, and enhancing cement mixes. This product improves both adhesion and flexibility in various applications.

EVERBUILD 506 Contractors PVA is a versatile product used as a general-purpose adhesive for wood, cork, paper, and textiles, an admixture for mortar, screeds, and renders, and a bonding agent for screeds and renders on challenging substrates. It also serves as a primer/sealer for tiling applications and an internal filler when combined with materials like wood shavings or plaster.
Substrate Quality / Pre-Treatment
Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry, and free from grease.
Application Method / Tools
- General Priming: Dilute 4 parts water to 1 part EVERBUILD® 506 Contractors PVA and apply with a brush. Allow to dry.
- Bonding Coat: Apply neat with a brush and add plaster or render while still tacky.
- Adhesive: Use undiluted, coat both surfaces, and press together. For large areas, clamp for 24 hours.
- Cement Admixture: Add 10–15 litres of EVERBUILD® 506 Contractors PVA to 50 kg of cement.
- Filler/Plaster Admixture: Dilute 1:1 with water and use in place of water in the mix.
Cleaning of Tools
Clean tools and remove excess product using clean, cold water.
Limitations
- Not suitable for exterior applications or areas with constant damp; use EVERBUILD® 503 SBR Bond in these cases.
