EVERBUILD EVERFLEX 225 Industrial & Glazing Silicone is a versatile mid-modulus acetoxy-cure sealant that bonds effectively to most smooth, non-porous surfaces. It cures rapidly to form a durable, flexible, and waterproof seal, making it ideal for single-glazing, draught-proofing, and various industrial applications. The product’s high-temperature resistance and quick-curing properties ensure a reliable solution for demanding environments.

Everflex 225 is ideal for sealing glass-to-glass and glass-to-metal joints as well as the following:
Substrate Preparation:
Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry, and free from dust. Remove any loose or flaking coatings, as well as old sealants or mastics, prior to application. Clean glass, metal, and aluminum surfaces with a proprietary solvent cleaner for optimal adhesion. Test porous surfaces to determine if priming is required.
Application Method/Tools:
- Follow recommended joint ratios and, if needed, reduce joint depth using Everflex® Expanding FILL AND FIX Foam or Joint Backer Rod. Ensure adhesion is restricted to two surfaces to maintain flexibility.
- Prepare the cartridge by cutting the tip without damaging the thread. Attach the nozzle and cut at a 45° angle, slightly wider than the gap to be sealed.
- Apply with a standard sealant gun, maintaining even pressure and a consistent angle for smooth application.
- Smooth the sealant within 10 minutes using a wetted spatula or wooden tool to ensure a proper bond.
- For a neat finish, apply masking tape to both sides of the joint and remove it within 5 minutes of sealing.
