EVERBUILD GRIPTITE is a ready-to-use gap-filling and panel adhesive, formulated with a high bond strength synthetic rubber/resin mix in a solvent carrier. It bonds effectively to a wide range of common surfaces, both indoors and outdoors, including wood, plaster, plasterboard, carpet, metal, glass, ceramics, brick, concrete, cork, uPVC, and certain plastics. The adhesive offers quick drying and high early bond strength.

Key Points:

  • Excellent adhesion to most common surfaces.
  • Good early grab, suitable for both horizontal and vertical applications.
  • High solids formulation provides excellent gap-filling properties.
  • Suitable for both porous and non-porous surfaces, with strong weather and chemical resistance for exterior use.

Shelf Life: 12 months from the date of manufacture when stored in unopened containers.
Storage Conditions: Keep in the original, unopened containers and store between 15°C and 20°C. Do not exceed 30°C. Store as flammable goods.

Griptite is ideal for bonding dado rails, architraves, skirting boards, and stair nosing to concrete or wooden stairs. It also effectively fixes parquet and cork flooring, wall cladding to internal surfaces or timber battens, and battens directly onto walls without the need for fastenings. Additionally, it can bond carpet gripper systems without nails or tacks, attach thresholds made of polyester, wood, PVCu, or metal, and secure nameplates, plastic boxes, decorative frames, wall sockets, and junction boxes to various surfaces. It is also suitable for securing aluminium or other skin panels to the framework of portable industrial buildings and caravans.

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION
Ensure surfaces to be glued are clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, and contaminants. New concrete or plaster should be given sufficient time to dry and mature; if this isn’t possible, use EVERBUILD GUN A NAIL. Porous or friable surfaces should be primed with dilute contact adhesive and allowed to dry.

APPLICATION METHOD / TOOLS

To Bond Flat Panels Direct to Walls:
Apply a 6mm diameter bead of adhesive around the periphery of the panel (50mm from the edge) and in horizontal lines at 450mm intervals. Press the panel firmly to the wall to ensure proper adhesive transfer and leave to set. A firm bond is achieved in 1 hour. If the panel is warped, apply adhesive as described, press the panel to the wall, and pull away immediately to promote faster adhesive transfer and solvent evaporation. After 5 minutes, the panel can be bonded into position to form a contact bond.

To Bond Stair Nosings:
Apply adhesive to the stair nosing, using 2 or 3 beads depending on its size. Press the nosing firmly into position to ensure adhesive transfer. For a stronger initial bond, press the nosing, pull away to affect the transfer, and then allow it to dry for 5 minutes before pressing it back into position. Allow 24 hours to dry before subjecting the nosing to traffic.

LIMITATIONS
Do not use on damp surfaces; use EVERBUILD GUN A NAIL instead.
Do not use as a mirror adhesive; use EVERBUILD MIRRORMATE.
Not suitable for polystyrene, Styrofoam, or expanded polyurethane—use EVERBUILD GUN A NAIL.
Heavy materials (over 8kg per sq meter) must be supported for 8–24 hours, depending on the item’s size.
Solvents may damage sensitive plastics; test a small area first if unsure.
