EVERBUILD KOS FIRE CEMENT is a ready-mixed blend of thermo-setting resins and temperature-resistant inorganic fillers that cures when exposed to heat, forming a seal resistant to temperatures up to 1250°C. It is ideal for fixing and repairing fire backings, providing excellent adhesion to fire bricks, blockwork, stone, and clayware. This fire cement is easy to apply by trowel, asbestos-free, and suitable for both domestic and industrial use.

Everbuild KOS Fire Cement is suitable for use with fire bricks, fire grates, flue pipes, and flue bricks, as well as for applications involving boilers, fireplaces, and solid fuel ovens.
Substrate Quality / Pre-Treatment:
Ensure all surfaces are clean and free from dust, grease, and other contaminants. Wet the surfaces to create a good key for the application.
Application:
Use directly from the tub, softening with a small amount of water if needed. Work the cement thoroughly into the joints. Gradually increase heat over a 4-hour period after application. Repair any cracks with fresh cement to create a smoke-tight seal.
Cleaning of Tools:
Clean tools with warm water and soap after use.
Limitations:
- Not suitable as a gas sealant.
- Always moisten surfaces before applying.
- Gradually apply heat.
- The cement will turn buff/grey above ~650°C.
- Not suitable for use where the product will be exposed to water or rain.
