Hodgson Sealants HS45 is ideal for the following applications
• Compatible with a wide range of substrates, such as unprimed metals, aluminum, steel, composite panels, wood, glass, plastics, concrete, mortar, plaster, epoxy, polyester coated panels, polycarbonate, PU, stainless steel, anodized aluminum, copper, zinc, lead, finished wood, and polystyrene.
• Versatile for use in factory, on-site, or remedial applications.
• Ideal for bonding decorative frames, skirting boards, insulation panels, and cable ducts.
• An all-purpose adhesive suitable for both internal and external use.
• Suitable for paintable connection joints.
APPLICATION
Joint Guidelines: Before applying, please refer to the Technical Information Sheet titled ‘Joint Guidelines for Cartridge-Based Products.’
Surface Preparation: Ensure all surfaces are thoroughly cleaned, dried, and devoid of frost, grease, or loose particles. Apply a primer if necessary, usually based on test results. Use a skeleton gun to apply the adhesive into the joint, ensuring strong contact with the surfaces. For a precise finish, employ masking tape to cover the face edges of the joint and promptly remove it once tooling is finished. Tooling: Immediately after application and within the product’s designated working time, tool the adhesive for desired results.
LIMITATIONS
• Inappropriate for constructing aquariums.
• Avoid usage with plastics like PP, PE, PTFE, or similar low surface energy materials. Consider using HS10 primer to enhance adhesion on non-porous substrates.
• Not intended for applications involving bitumen, marble, or natural stone.
• Unsuitable for glazing applications.
