Mapecolor Metallic is a high-quality powder pigment designed to create a stunning metallic effect for grouts. Available in pre-dosed sachets of 90 g (equivalent to 3% by weight of a 3 kg drum of Kerapoxy Easy Design), it comes in various shades including Moonlight (similar to platinum), Sahara (similar to gold), Shining (similar to silver), Red Clay (similar to copper), and Stardust (similar to dark silver). When mixed properly, it produces metallic grouts with an attractive finish that enhances the overall aesthetic with a bright, glossy, and decorative result. To achieve a uniform blend, it is recommended to add the desired colour of Mapecolor Metallic to Kerapoxy Easy Design 700 (translucent). Additionally, mixing Mapecolor Metallic with other Kerapoxy Easy Design colours can yield a variety of metallic effects with different intensities and shades, although preliminary tests are advisable, as variations may occur based on the specific colours and quantities used. However, it is crucial to adhere to the maximum dosage of 3% by weight to maintain the grout’s workability.

To create grout mortars with a metallic effect, incorporate 3% by weight of Mapecolor Metallic into Kerapoxy Easy Design. This mixture is especially ideal for grouting metallic tiles, ceramic tiles with metallic finishes, as well as glass and ceramic mosaics. It is essential to conduct preliminary tests before grouting stone materials, polished porcelain, or surfaces that are porous or rough.
To achieve the desired aesthetic effect, add Mapecolor Metallic to the Kerapoxy Easy Design drum at a variable ratio, adhering to the maximum limit of 3% by weight. This should be done after combining the two components of Kerapoxy Easy Design (A+B). Create a well in the mixed paste, pour in the Mapecolor Metallic, and use a trowel to manually mix the pigment thoroughly. Then, use a low-speed mixer to ensure even blending without dispersing the product into the air. It is recommended to use the mixture within 45 minutes of preparation.
