Soudal Pool Fix is a high strength, flexible sealant-adhesive designed specifically for repairing mosaic tiles and other tiles in the surrounding area of swimming pools. Can also be used to repair small cracks and for the sealing of swimming pool elements. Bonds to most types of surfaces, even when slightly damp.
Properties
– Excellent adhesion on nearly all surfaces, even if slightly moist.
– Crystal clear formulation
– Impervious to mould, contains biocide with fungicidal action
– Good extrudability even at low temperatures
– Free of isocyanates, solvents, halogens and acids
– Permanently elastic after curing
– Can be painted with all water based paints and many other systems (to be tested)
Substrates
Substrates: all usual building substrates, glass, treated wood, PVC, plastics, metals, stone, concrete…
Nature: rigid, clean, free of dust and grease.
Surface preparation: Porous surfaces should be primed with Primer 150. Prepare nonporous surfaces with a Soudal activator or cleaner (see Technical Data Sheet). NOTICE: bonding plastics like PMMA (e.g. Plexi® glass), polycarbonate (e.g. Makrolon® or Lexan®) in stress loaded applications can give rise to stress cracking and crazing in these substrates. The use of Pool Fix is not recommended in these applications. Not suitable for PE, PP, PTFE (eg Teflon®), bituminous substrates, copper or copper containing materials such as bronze and brass.
We recommend a preliminary adhesion and compatibility test on every surface.

Soudal Pool Fix is specially developed for the repair and fixing of mosaic tiles and swimming pool tiles. Sealing and bonding of swimming pool elements such as skimmers, drains, valves, openings. Temporary repair of small leaks. Repair and strengthening of damaged metal and polyester surfaces. Not to be used for applications in permanent immersion.
APPLICATION
Application method: With manual- or pneumatic caulking gun.
Cleaning: Clean with Soudal Surface Cleaner or with Soudal Swipex, immediately after use Cured Pool Fix can only be removed mechanically.
Finishing: With a soapy solution or Soudal Finishing Solution before skinning.
Repair: With the same material.
LIMITATIONS
– Not suitable for bonding aquariums.
– Pool Fix is paintable with water based paints, however due to the large number of paints and varnishes available we strongly suggest a compatibility test before
application.
– Pool Fix can be applied to a wide variety of substrates. Due to the fact that specific substrates such as plastics, like polycarbonate, etc, may differ from manufacturer to manufacturer, we recommend preliminary compatibility test.
– Pool Fix is not suitable for expansion joints.
– Pool Fix can not be used as a glazing sealant.
– Pool Fix cannot be used on natural stone.
– Pool Fix has a good UV resistance but can discolour under extreme conditions or after very long UV exposure.
– A total absence of UV can cause a colour change of the sealant.
– Discoloration due to chemicals, high temperatures, UV-radiation may occur. A change in colour does not affect the technical properties of the product.
– Contact with bitumen, tar or other plasticizer releasing materials such as EPDM, neoprene, butyl, etc. is to be avoided since it can give rise to discolouration and loss of adhesion.
– When using different reactive joint sealants, the first joint sealant must be completely hardened before the next one is applied.
