Fix ‘N’ Grout is a brilliant white, ready-mixed adhesive paste that functions as both a thin-bed waterproof ceramic wall tile adhesive and joint-filling grout. Ideal for use in interior locations such as bathrooms, kitchens, and shower areas, it is perfect for fixing all types of ceramic wall tiles, including mosaics, porcelain, and vitrified tiles. This versatile product can be applied to a variety of surfaces, including gypsum plaster, cement fibreboard, existing tiles, cement render, timber panels, and plywood composite boards. It is particularly well-suited for areas exposed to frequent wetting, such as shower rooms, power showers, and worktops, and is ideal for small DIY projects or localized repairs. Not recommended for use with large format tiles.

Shelf Life: At least 12 months from the date of manufacture when stored in original, sealed containers.

Storage Conditions: Keep in a cool, dry place, stored between +5°C and +30°C. Protect from frost and direct sunlight.

Coverage: Approximately 2-3kg/m² per litre for tiling and 5kg/m² per litre for grouting.

Bond It FIX ‘N’ GROUT is a ready-to-use adhesive and grout, perfect for fixing and grouting tiles in kitchens, bathrooms, toilets, and showers. It is suitable for use on a wide range of surfaces, including gypsum plaster, concrete render, brick, plywood, blockboard, fibre cement sheet, glazed tiles, and most common building materials.

 

 

Preparation
Ensure all surfaces are dry and free from dirt or any contaminants that may affect adhesion. New plaster must be allowed to fully dry for a minimum of 4 weeks and should be primed with Bond It PRIMER & FLEXIBLE ADMIXTURE before application. Existing plaster should be repaired for any holes or cracks and primed where necessary. Timber surfaces must be sealed using Bond It PRIMER & FLEXIBLE ADMIXTURE prior to application.

Application
Apply the adhesive with a 6mm notched trowel to a depth of 3mm, ensuring the ribs are running horizontally. Only work with an area that can be completed within 15 minutes (approximately 1m²). Tiles can be installed from the top or bottom, depending on preference, by pressing them firmly into the adhesive with a twisting motion, leaving a 1-2mm gap between each tile. Any excess adhesive on the tile surface should be wiped away with a damp cloth immediately. Allow tiles to set for 4-8 hours before grouting.

Limitations
This product is not recommended for use on floors or in areas exposed to continuous water immersion (e.g., swimming pools, ponds, or outdoor applications), with porcelain tiles, large format tiles, or in environments where the ambient temperature is below +5°C. It may cause discoloration on some types of marble.
