LevelMaster is a premium-grade, protein-free, one-part cementitious floor levelling compound suitable for internal and external use, applied at thicknesses from 2mm to 50mm. It is mixed with water to create a smooth, self-smoothing, and flexible surface that provides an ideal base for a wide variety of floor types, including tiles. It can be used to patch repair rough concrete on domestic driveways, paths, and garage floors before applying floor paint. This product is suitable for use with underfloor heating and provides high early strength, making it ideal for both residential and commercial applications. It is CE-approved, with a low-odour formulation and should not be used at temperatures below 4°C.
Key Points:
- Flexible and self-smoothing, with a maximum application thickness of 50mm.
- Suitable for internal and external use, including driveways, paths, and garage floors.
- Can be used with underfloor heating and as a base for tiles.
- Sets quickly, with light foot traffic possible after 4 hours and tile application after 48 hours.
Shelf Life: 6 months from the date of manufacture, before the date indicated on the bag, when stored in unopened sacks.
Storage Conditions: Store in original, unopened bags in a dry area, away from extreme temperatures and drafts. Keep off the ground and ensure storage temperatures are between +5°C and +30°C. Reseal part-used bags.
Coverage: A 20kg bag will cover approximately 4m² at a thickness of 3mm.

AD-FLOOR EXTERIOR is a durable and versatile floor levelling compound, ideal for preparing most common internal subfloors before installing floor coverings such as ceramic tiles, carpet, vinyl, and wood flooring (minimum levelling thickness of 5mm). It is suitable for use with underfloor heating and contains powdered latex, eliminating the need for separate latex liquids. This product is hard-wearing and can be used to patch repair rough concrete in domestic areas subjected to foot and light wheeled traffic. It is also ideal for use on domestic garage floors, either as a final wear coat or overpainted with Bond It ALKYD FLOOR PAINT.
Substrates:
- Concrete and cement-based substrates
- Calcium sulphate (gypsum) screeds (sanded and vacuumed)
- Properly prepared old ceramic tiles, natural stone, terrazzo
- Properly prepared old water-resistant adhesive residues
- New mastic asphalt screeds (flooring grade IC10, IC15) with a layer thickness of 3-5mm
Preparation
Subfloors must be clean, dry, structurally sound, and free from contaminants such as grease, oil, paint, or polish that could interfere with adhesion. Remove any adhesive or paint residues back to a solid base and repair any friable areas using a suitable repair compound. Ensure ambient humidity remains below 55% for at least 28 days after application, as higher humidity can lead to product failure. Turn off underfloor heating 48 hours before starting and turn it back on 48 hours after completion, gradually raising the temperature by 5°C per day. All subfloors at or below ground level should have an effective damp proof membrane, and moisture levels should be 75% RH or below. For moisture levels above 75% RH, apply a surface damp proof membrane. Gypsum and Anhydrite screeds should be moisture-free; do not use surface damp proof membranes on gypsum substrates. Old ceramic tiles must be cleaned and abraded, while old water-soluble adhesives should be removed and the surface primed with a waterproof primer like PRIMER AND FLEXIBLE ADMIXTURE. Non-absorbent surfaces should be cleaned and primed with a suitable primer, such as Bond It EXTERIOR PREGRIT. Wooden floors must be overboarded with 15mm exterior-grade plywood. Calcium Sulphate/gypsum screeds should be sanded, vacuumed, and primed with Bond It PRIMER AND FLEXIBLE ADMIXTURE (2 coats). If applying AD-FLOOR EXTERIOR above 10mm over a gypsum screed, consult Technical Services.
Mixing
For every 20kg of AD-FLOOR EXTERIOR, use 3.6L of clean water. Slowly add the powder to the water while mixing with a heavy-duty slow-speed drill or paddle for approximately 3 minutes until a lump-free mix forms. Avoid over-watering, as it can cause foaming or settling of the aggregate.
Application
Pour the mixed product onto the prepared surface and trowel to a smooth finish. Use a pin leveller for even surfaces and a spiked roller for higher thicknesses. Do not mix more than can be applied within 20 minutes. Once the product begins to set, do not add more water. For thicknesses above 3mm, avoid contact with vertical surfaces by using an edging strip. Do not cover floor joints with AD-FLOOR EXTERIOR; use appropriate methods to seal edge, interior, and movement joints.
Limitations
Do not use at temperatures below +5°C or above +30°C. High temperatures reduce open time, and cold or humid conditions slow drying. Ensure ambient humidity stays below 55% RH for 28 days post-application to prevent product failure. AD-FLOOR EXTERIOR is not for external use, does not provide a final wearing surface, and must be covered with a floor covering (e.g., ceramic tiles, wood flooring, or carpet). Avoid using PVA as a primer before applying the smoothing compound.
